Help Improve Your Dyslexic Child's Reading and Spelling Skills with 3D Learning Experts' Online Tutoring Program
Commonly Asked Questions
ARE YOUR SERVICES THE SAME AS TRADITIONAL TUTORING CENTERS?
NO. We are not the same. Most tutoring programs don’t know how to help individuals with Neurodiversity. We tutor using Orton-Gillingham based curriculum, which is systematic and multi-sensory. The approach we use is completely different from that of your average tutor or center. We do not help with homework or fill in the holes in their learning. We go back to basics and build a strong foundation and build up from there. We individualize the program for each student based on the initial student intake screening and tutor's observation.
HOW IS YOUR PROGRAM DIFFERENT FROM OTHER TUTORING PROGRAMS?
We provide 1 on 1 tutoring to students using multi-sensory methods called the Orton-Gillingham Approach. This type of tutoring was created in the 1920’s specifically for Dyslexic students. The Orton-Gillingham Approach is a direct, explicit, multisensory, structured, sequential, cumulative, cognitive and flexible way to teach literacy to students of all learning styles, when reading, writing, and spelling does not come easily to individuals, such as those with Dyslexia.
DO YOU INDIVIDUALIZE?
Yes, we individualize our program to fit each student’s needs based on the initial parent consultation, student screening and tutor's observations.
CAN YOU TEACH MY TWO CHILDREN TOGETHER?
This is not an option because no two Dyslexics are exactly alike, and the program we use is designed for 1 on 1 tutoring. Allowing your child to go as fast or as slow as needed. Group tutoring sessions will not result in the same level of success.

AM I TOO OLD FOR TUTORING?
We tutor students from age 7 and up to adulthood. It’s not too late to end your reading struggles. If you are an adult who reads slowly, has trouble putting your thoughts on paper or is a terrible speller, we can help. One of our favorite O-G programs is perfect for teaching teens and adult students how to read and spell, well. It is not childish.
WHAT KIND OF COMMITMENT IS REQUIRED FOR TUTORING?
We have families sign a one year commitment, however if you don't see the progress you expect the first 90 days, we'll refund the unused amount paid and cancel your agreement. A happy client is our #1 goal! The average student takes 2- 3 years to complete the entire program from beginning to end. It is best to stay the course then to start and stop. Older or less severe students will complete it faster than younger, severe or profound students.
DO WE HAVE TO PAY FOR ANY SUPPLIES OR MATERIALS?
All materials are included for tutoring.
HOW IS ONLINE TUTORING DIFFERENT FROM IN-PERSON TUTORING?
We provide effective remote tutoring online on zoom. Online tutoring is virtually the same as in-person tutoring, we continue to use multisensory methods which are beneficial for students with Dyslexia. The main difference between online and in-person is our online students practice developing their typing skills, rather than handwriting skills. We have found online tutoring to be highly successful for our ADHD students.
HOW OFTEN DOES A STUDENT NEED TO BE TUTORED?
Consistency is crucial for success! A tutor and student will meet a minimum of 2 days a week. It is imperative that students meet two or more times a week, in order for them to remember the information being taught. Most Dyslexics have memory issues and need the reinforcement of information to successfully learn. If you would like to see more progress quicker, we recommend signing up for more tutoring sessions, each week.
